Only time will tell, but what we do know is the notifications have been made and the next K-9 Class has been set for 14 Aug 08. The current list will be exhausted. Five new handlers will be added with the top seniority of 15 years of service. So, this will not affect the majority of us, only the bottom few. No dogs have been purchased as of yet or should I say no delivery has been made.
We have been waiting a long time for this class. The "Street K-9's" went from 44 K-9 Teams to only 24 Teams in over the last two years. This new class Will bring us to 29 Teams which is still far from 51 Team that K-9 is budgeted for.
